Hi, Welcome to my website. I'm a studio potter living in the beautiful village of Blakeney near Almonte Ontario which is 35 minute drive west of Ottawa Ontario, Canada's capital.
I live here with the ever-patient Michael, 2 old cats and a dog. Our kids are out in the world.
I have been a pottery technician and teacher for more than 30 years!! Yikes!! I went to art school to study painting and got caught up with clay early on. You can see examples of my work in "Making Marks: Discovering the Ceramic Surface" by Robin Hopper, "500 Teapots" by Lark Press, "Handbuilt Tableware", also Lark Press.

I show my work in invitational and juried shows around Canada (Distill Gallery in Toronto, Jonathon Bancroft Snell Gallery in London, Lafrenière and Pai Gallery in Ottawa and Burlington Art Centre in Burlington, Ontario for example.)
Michael, who is a great carpenter, renovated our little cottage on the Mississippi River ( no , not THE Mississippi) in Lanark County six years ago when we moved here from the centre of Ottawa. The river is my muse. It is a most peaceful, beautiful spot. I am a full time potter now and teach a bit here and there. However the best part of my working year is running my 2 week adult "summer camp" here in Blakeney. Check out the events page for more details.
